UGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ok, I am about to trade Oz in, my straight stitch keeps messing up on the bobbin side.  I have checked the bobbin, taken the bobbin out, and reloaded it, I checked my needle to see if it was
threaded correctly.  I even went as far as checking youtube to see if there was a tutorial on threading
a Pfaff machine (which there was, and I am threading it correctly).  Checked my needle tension, ect,
repeated the process over and over until I am blue in the face.  I am in such a sewing mood, and NOW this....any suggestions...other then walk away for a moment regroup...and try again.  Help anyone?

  1. So sorry... I have had this trouble before.. It sounds like you are doing all the normal things we have to check? Usually needs a repair man [or a replacement,ha] ..
I threaded and rethreaded mine last year., So frustrating. Hope you get it fixed.. Or get you a new one..

  2. Ain't nothing like a backup plan, but if we lived near each other I would surly let you borrow one of mine until you got yours fixed or replaced. Have you thought about removing the entire bobbin case to check to see if there is a ball of lint imbedded under there? I had such a lint ball one time that it pushed my bobbin case all the way out of the machine. Hope you can get to sewing again very soon!!!

    1. You are so sweet Ms. Faye, and you know I would take you up on your offer if I lived closer. I have been to Georgia aboout 2 years ago for a couple of months working, very beautiful state.

  3. I've had a pfaff for over 25 years. Have you tried changing the needle? Also, try another bobbin. Sometimes, when they're out of round or nicked, havoc ensues. You might also try the blog called "My Sewing Machine Obsession" (I think.) She seems to know everything about troubleshooting machine. Don't give up. Pfaffs are known for their long working lives. Good luck.

  4. WELL.....ladies I am back in business.....I took each one of your advice. Found a good repair person (for future reference), found a couple of dust bunnies (how can they get caught in such a tight area), and changed the needle...Oz is running again like a champ, sewing such pretty stitches. THANKS AGAIN....

    1. Hi Ms. Faye....thanks for checking in! Yes, Oz has been having itself, with a hiccup once in awhile. Have been sewing infinity scarves and comfy pants for my daughters for Christmas. Now, off to sewing for myself and going to make a few infinity scarves for two of my friends.
